"WEAR ART. SEE THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY"

For the silk velvet handwoven Collection, Clarissa sought to merge Italy’s historical excellence with a completely modern and glamorous vision. She personally studied how to transform handwoven velvets—crafted on late 19th-century looms in Florence—into acetate using techniques inspired by the Italian Renaissance.

In her Studio the velvet is first treated on its reverse side, then manually cut to the edge without seams. It is carefully inserted into the acetate with a permanent adhesive that maintains its grip under any condition, whether wet, hot, or cold. The exceptional craftsmanship of the handwoven velvet and brocade ensures the fabric’s durability for generations, echoing the longevity of garments once worn by nobility and preserved in historical museums.

The craftsmanship by Clarissa Oliverio is a celebration of Italy’s rich textile heritage, reimagined through a modern and glamorous lens. Each piece becomes a unique piece. The design of the velvet handwoven in Florence are from the Italian sixteenth-century.
